The Cherrycroft Practice is an established independent practice providing a clinical psychology service and other therapies to children, teens and adults in Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire since 2013.
We provide therapeutic services across the lifespan. We provide Clinical Psychology and Art Therapy for adults with mild to moderate mental health difficulties. These sessions can be in our comfortable surroundings in the clinic or online.
More and more we are meeting people across the lifespan who are struggling to come to terms with the functional difficulties that often surround being neurodivergent (ASD/ADHD/FASD). Often people with neurodivergence spend a lot of time masking their difficulties and this can be exhausting leading to stress, anxiety, low mood and burnout. We provide both mental health support and practical strategies.
Life can be difficult whether you are a child or navigating the challenges of adolescence or trying to cope with adult life. Many struggle with anxiety, anger, low mood, low self-esteem and burnout. For all our clients we start off with an assessment to understand what is going on and what may be underlying the problem. From there we can work together to find ways of managing the difficulties.
Sometimes young people have ‘meltdowns’ because they are anxious or because they are struggling to concentrate in school or they may be struggling with other skills difficulties like forming friendships. Once we have a better understanding of what is happening we then plan what to do with the family. Some young people may need Occupational therapy or Speech Therapy to help with particular skills. Others may need Psychological therapies. We work with a range of difficulties but we particularly specialise in attachment, bonding, complex trauma and neurodiversity.
